What is DHEA?
DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone) is a natural hormone produced by the adrenal glands. DHEA is required for the productions of the male and female sex hormones, androgen and estrogen. This hormone is widely associated with aging because for most people, DHEA levels begin to deplete at about age 30. By age 70, DHEA levels are reduced to about 10% of the average young adult.
